South Korean Timonet Korea Inc. Plans to Open Office in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan, led by Director of Export Development Makhliyo Muksinova, held a meeting with a delegation from the South Korean company Timonet Korea Inc., headed by company president Kwon Hee Min.
Following the discussions, the parties agreed on opening a Timonet Korea Inc. office in Uzbekistan and signed a memorandum of understanding.
Headquartered in Seoul, Timonet Korea Inc. specializes in IT services and solutions in network infrastructure, cybersecurity, software development, system integration, and OTT (Over-the-Top) content. The company holds five patents and multiple international certifications, including ISO 9001 and KS Service, and has been recognized with state awards for job creation and achievements in personnel management.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the company registration process in Uzbekistan, local legal requirements, the country’s human resource potential, and the availability of specialists with technical skills and foreign language proficiency. IT Park representatives also introduced the delegation to programs supporting foreign investors, including tax incentives, soft-landing initiatives, and administrative support.
The signed memorandum aims to strengthen strategic cooperation in OTT platform development, IT services, and joint initiatives to develop human capital. It envisions the creation and launch of an OTT platform tailored to the Uzbek market, as well as collaborative projects in professional training, outsourcing, and IT talent exchange.
The Timonet Korea Inc. office in Tashkent will provide OTT video content in Uzbek, Russian, and English, similar to Netflix, with plans for subsequent expansion to the CIS and global markets.
This cooperation will reinforce IT Park Uzbekistan’s international ties with South Korea, attract investment in advanced technologies, create new jobs, and integrate into a developing ecosystem for global IT players, contributing to the country’s export potential.
