Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Kyrgyzstan seeks good neighborliness and the preservation of mutually beneficial relations with Uzbekistan. This was stated by President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov.
“There is a good saying: “Close neighbor, better than a distant relative.” Kyrgyz and Uzbek peoples have lived side by side for centuries in harmony and friendship. Our ancestors were related, maintaining the unity of the two peoples. The two countries are close to each other not only geographically, we have one story, one religion, one language and similar traditions,” said Sooronbai Jeenbekov.
The President of Kyrgyzstan emphasized that in recent years, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan have been actively developing not only trade and economic, but also cultural and humanitarian relations.
“With the advent of President Shavkat Miromonovich Mirziyoyev, friendship and good neighborliness between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan has been strengthened. We strive for good neighborliness and preservation of mutually beneficial relations, we will solve all problems, for this we need patience and time. We will continue the policy of strengthening friendship with neighboring countries for the future of our children and our country,” he added.
