Some 68.7m tonnes of freight transported in Uzbekistan in January

Motor transport shipped 57.4 million tonnes of freight in the reporting period, which is 9.5% more year-on-year. The freight turnover grew by 2.1% to 972.1 million t-km.

Some 2,600 tonnes of freights were carried by air transport in January 2011, which is 44.4% more compared to January 2010. The freight turnover has increased by 29.8% and made up 12.2 million t-km.

Railway transport carried out 5.3 million tonnes of cargo in January 2011, which is up 4.9% year-on-year. The freight turnover has increased by 4.2% to 1.692 billion t-km.

Main pipelines transported 6 million tonnes of cargoes in the reporting period. The freight turnover of main pipelines has decreased by 13.4% to 2.571 billion t-km.
