Some 51,730 cases of illegal passenger and cargo transportation registered in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Employees of the Uzbek Agency for Automobile and River Transport (UZAART) in cooperation with representatives of road traffic security department and tax services conducted 3,268 spot checks in nine months of 2014 and revealed 51,737 individuals, who illegally transported passengers and cargoes.

According to the UZAART, the protocols were registered on these cases and submitted to corresponding bodies to adopt measures. Tax bodies fined violators for 10.349 billion soums.

As of 1 October 2014, number of licensed automobiles, which can transport passengers, exceeded 94,000 units.
