Some 300 youngster to attend second stage of Program of Scholarships for the Gifted Students

The organizers said that over 2,000 people submitted applications to the Program of Scholarships for the Gifted Students from all regions of Uzbekistan. Only 300 of them were invited to the second stage of the program. The winners will receive additional stipends each month to the main one.

Fund Forum and Mehr Nuri Foundation received the application to the Program of Scholarships for the Gifted Students from 20 May to 1 August.

The jury members noted that the level of young people, who submitted the applications to the program, is growing each year. They noted that the applicants are training and improving their knowledge. Students of Tashkent universities are showing themselves the best.

The Program of Scholarships for the Gifted Students is directed to encourage and support talented and active young people studying at 2, 3 and 4 courses. The most active students get prolongation of scholarships.

Since 2006, more than 9700 students took part in the contest and 717 of them became winners. About 207 of the students get the prolongation. 358 mln soums worth of stipends have been made available.
