Some 20,546 enterprises registered in Uzbekistan in 1Q

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- About 20,546 enterprises and organizations were registered in Uzbekistan in January-March 2016, including 8,480 small businesses (without farmers), the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.

Some 2,141 enterprises were registered in Tashkent city, 2,446 – in Jizzakh region, 2,446 in Ferghana region, 2,340 – in Tashkent region, 1,727 in Kashkadarya region, 1,649 – in Samarkand region, 1,266 – in Namangan region, 1,218 - in Surkhandarya region, 1,048 – in Andijan region, 807 in Surkhandarya region, 775 in Bukhara region, 700 – in Khorezm region, 608 – in Navoi region and 1,048 in Karakalpakstan.

About 12,786 enterprises were registered in agriculture, forestry and fishery, 2,614 – in industry and construction, 2,076 – in trade and 3,070 in other sectors.

As of 1 April 2016, number of operating enterprises and organizations (except farmers and dehkans) made up 261,900 unites, of which 211,400 small businesses.
