Some 200 Uzbek Citizens Begin Work on Türkiye’s Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A group of 200 Uzbek citizens has started working on the construction of the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant in Türkiye, the Migration Agency reported.

The Namangan regional office of the agency signed a cooperation agreement with the construction company ATAMER Holding as part of the “one region — one major employer” initiative.

Within a short period, the deployment and employment of 200 specialists — including electrical installers, welders, and formwork workers — were organized. Employees receive competitive salaries and social benefits.

Representatives of the Namangan branch of the agency visited the nuclear plant construction site to assess the working conditions of Uzbek employees and later organized a formal dinner (iftar) for the staff in coordination with the employer.

The agency continues to accept applications from welding specialists interested in working in Türkiye. Applicants can contact the Namangan branch of the agency at +998 69−227−97−27 or +998 69−227−94−64.
