Some 18,000 Uzbek citizens leave for Russia in 2013
He said that about 13,500 people requested information about the programme on re-settlement in 2013 and about 7,200 applied to the programme. Total number of potential re-settlers within the programme made up around 18,000 people.
The envoy said that Voronej, Kaluga, Lipetsk, Novosibrsk and Tula regions were most attractive regions among the re-settlers from Uzbekistan to Russia in 2013.
Vladimir Tyurdenov underlined that he is aware of difficult issues of people, which the people face within the programme. The Embassy launched an electronic reception service for potential re-settlers within the programme in September 2013.
The envoy underlined that Russia does not agitate or gives famous promises (for re-settlers). He said that the settlement is voluntary issue. He called that people do not believe various rumours and do not use services of various mediators. He said that they should use only official source of information, placed at the Foreign Migration Service of Russia and the Embassy of Russia.
