Social protection for military personnel to be enhanced
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a resolution introducing amendments and additions to several existing regulations aimed at strengthening the social protection of military personnel.
According to the document, starting from 1 March 2025, the amount of the monthly financial compensation paid to military personnel for renting housing will be increased by 20%.
Additionally, beginning on 1 June 2025, a new procedure will be introduced for the initial down payment when obtaining a mortgage loan for the purchase or construction of housing for military personnel who have served for more than ten years. The down payment will be set at 35% of the calculated cost of the housing, and the provision of housing will be carried out in accordance with parameters established by law.
As part of the amendments to Presidential Decree No. PP-112 dated June 30, 2005, it has been established that from 1 March to 31 December 2025, the monthly rental compensation for contract-based military personnel without housing will be:
– Up to 4.8 sizes of basic estimated value (BEV) in Tashkent;
– Up to 3.6 sizes of BEV in Nukus and regional centers;
– Up to 2.4 sizes of BEV in other cities, district centers, and settlements across the country.
For military personnel with three or more family members, these payments will be increased by 50%.
Starting in 2026, the amount of monthly financial compensation will be determined annually by a government resolution, based on market rental prices in different regions of the country.
