Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 26 July, 34-year-old singer Zebiniso Nosirova, known by her stage name Zeboyi Jahon, was killed in Taylak district of the Samarkand region. The news was reported by the program Millar on Milliy TV.

According to preliminary information, the artist’s husband is suspected of the crime. He had come to her home to see their children, when a conflict broke out during which he strangled her with his hands. The woman died at the scene.

Her brother told reporters: “My sister did not deserve such a death. That day, I was at work in the ambulance service. Around 4 p.m., my wife called and said something had happened to my sister. I called my mother, and she said: ‘Come quickly, she has been killed.’ How could he do this to his wife, the mother of three sons?” He called for the perpetrator to receive the harshest possible punishment.

According to the spokesperson of the Prosecutor General, Khayot Shamsutdinov, a criminal case has been opened against the 33-year-old man under Part 1 of Article 97 of Uzbekistan’s Criminal Code (Premeditated Murder). The suspect has been detained.

Zebiniso Nosirova, born in 1991, was the mother of three children.
