During the negotiations, the prospects of further expansion of mutually beneficial trade and investment relations between the countries were discussed, the press service of the Uzbek ministry said.
In particular, attention was given to the implementation of certain projects with the participation of leading Singaporean companies in Uzbekistan, including in the FIEZ Navoi and SIZ Angren.
In 2013, the trade turnover between the countries reached US$47.6 million, including exports - US$28.3 million and import – US$19.3 million.
Currently 32 companies with Singaporean capital, including 8- with 100% foreign capital operate in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Representatives of 10 companies of Singapore are accredited at the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
