He noted that the parties paid attention to further development of cooperation in the energy sector, in particular, production of synthetic fuel.
“We are very interested in cooperative projects involving Uzbekistan, Russia, South Korea, China and other countries,” Shuvalov said in an interview with the UzA agency.
First Deputy Prime Minister of Russia noted that the parties discussed issues of expanding the potential of railways to increase export volumes.
“Fruit and vegetable products are exported from Uzbekistan to Russia in significant volumes. Given its relevance in our market, we want to further expand partnership in this direction. Work is under way to expand opportunities for exporting enterprises, strengthen cooperation between customs and phytosanitary services of the two countries,” he said.
“We want to do everything to ensure that producers in Uzbekistan have an open road, great opportunities, without any customs or other barriers to sell their products on the Russian market,” he said. Shuvalov said that fruits and vegetables from Uzbekistan are highly demanded and of good quality.
“In addition, during the meeting, issues of expanding cooperation in the field of science and education were considered,” he said.
