Shukhrat Teshaev appointed as first deputy minister of agriculture

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Shukhrat Teshaev appointed as the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture by the Presidential Resolution, the press service of the ministry said.

As First Deputy Minister of Agriculture, he will oversee issues of cotton growing, grain growing, mechanization of agriculture, and also analysis of the needs of agriculture in water resources.

He will also lead and control funding in the prescribed manner programs for the introduction and promotion of the achievements of science and technology, new agricultural technologies and best practices.

Prior to his appointment, Shukhrat Teshaev held the position of Deputy khokim of Ferghana region on issues of agriculture and water management.
