Shomurodov Starts as Basaksehir Held to 0-0 Draw

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Kocaelispor and Istanbul Basaksehir played out a 0-0 draw, with Uzbekistan national team forward Eldor Shomurodov starting for the visitors but failing to make a decisive impact before being substituted in the second half.

The match began cautiously. Basaksehir controlled possession but struggled to create clear chances, while Kocaelispor remained compact and looked to capitalize on opposition mistakes. One of the few notable moments of the first half came in the 22nd minute, when Umut Gunes received a yellow card. The opening period ended goalless.

After the break, the tempo increased following a series of substitutions. Basaksehir attempted to strengthen their attack by bringing on Yildirim in place of Selke. The hosts also made several changes, adding pace on the flanks. Later in the game, Churlinov, Rivas and Brnic entered the field, but the overall pattern of play remained largely unchanged.

Shomurodov was substituted in the 83rd minute, with Da Costa coming on in his place. In the closing stages, the tempo dropped, and Basaksehir were unable to mount a decisive push, allowing Kocaelispor to comfortably hold on for a draw.
