Shomurodov Secures Istanbul Basaksehir’s Victory over Samsunspor in the Turkish Championship (Goal)

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Istanbul Basaksehir claimed a victory over Samsunspor in a Matchday 16 fixture of the Turkish Super Lig, with Uzbekistan national team striker Eldor Shomurodov playing a decisive role.

The captain of the Uzbekistan national team opened the scoring in the 66th minute, capitalizing on an error by the opposition and striking accurately from a distance of around 20 meters. The goal was Shomurodov’s 11th of the current Turkish Super Lig season.

In the 83rd minute, the hosts doubled their lead as Bertug Yildirim found the net, with Shomurodov providing the assist, thereby recording both a goal and an assist in the same match.

Uzbekistan national team midfielder Abbosbek Fayzullaev also featured in the game. He started in Basaksehir’s starting lineup and was substituted in the 67th minute.

The win lifted Istanbul Basaksehir to 20 points after 16 matches, moving the club up to eighth place in the Turkish Super Lig standings.
