Shomurodov scores brace in Başakşehir 3–0 win

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In the 29th round of the Turkish Super League, Istanbul Başakşehir secured a 3–0 home victory over Gençlerbirliği.

Uzbekistan national team captain Eldor Shomurodov was included in the starting lineup for the hosts, while his compatriot Abbosbek Fayzullaev was not included in the squad as he continues recovering from injury.

The scoring was opened in the 9th minute when Shomurodov combined with a teammate in midfield, broke through on goal, and finished with a chipped effort over the goalkeeper.

In the 40th minute, the Uzbek forward completed his brace after receiving a pass near the penalty area and finishing from around 14 meters with a precise strike. Two minutes later, Istanbul Başakşehir added a third goal through Yertuğ Yıldız.

Shomurodov was substituted in the 82nd minute. The match ended 3–0 in favor of the home side.
