Shomurodov and Fayzullaev Lead İstanbul Başakşehir to 5-1 Victory over Gaziantep

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbek national team players Eldor Shomurodov and Abbasbek Fayzullaev played key roles in İstanbul Başakşehir’s convincing 5-1 victory over Gaziantep in the Turkish Super League.

The scoring opened in the 21st minute when Uzbek forward Eldor Shomurodov received the ball in the central zone on the opponent’s half, maneuvered past defenders, and struck precisely into the lower left corner of the goal.

However, just five minutes later, Gaziantep forward Kamara equalized. The home team responded quickly: in the 30th minute, Uzbek midfielder Abbasbek Fayzullaev received a pass from his goalkeeper, sprinted forward, and calmly struck the ball into the lower left corner of the net.

In the second half, İstanbul Başakşehir’s dominance intensified. In the 53rd minute, Gaziantep defender Arda Kizildag scored an own goal. The fourth goal for Başakşehir was netted by Umut Güneş, following a pass from Shomurodov.

Gaziantep’s situation worsened in the 77th minute when midfielder Kevin Rodrigues received a red card. The final score of 5-1 was set by Ivan Brnić in the 84th minute.
