Sherzod Shermatov Discusses Startup Development and Digital Transformation with AIM Congress

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov held a meeting with Dawood Al Shezawi, Chairman of AIM Global Foundation and initiator of AIM Congress.

The main focus of the talks was Uzbekistan’s initiatives in digital transformation, support for technology startups, and the expansion of international cooperation.

During the meeting, guests were presented with a detailed overview of IT Park’s activities, including international projects implemented by its resident companies, export volumes, the dynamics of the country’s growing IT ecosystem, and future plans.

The delegation also visited UZINFOCOM, where they were shown the development and maintenance of state information systems, innovative digital solutions created by local specialists, and projects in the field of artificial intelligence.

The parties discussed opportunities for cooperation, support of promising startups, and attracting foreign investment into Uzbekistan’s digital ecosystem.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the guests were invited to take part in “ICTWeek Uzbekistan 2025” — the Information and Communication Technologies Week to be held in Tashkent from 23 to 26 September 2025.
