Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - “Starting from 18 March, teachers will go on paid leave. The work that they had to carry out during the holidays from 21 to 28 March, they will do remotely," the Minister of Public Education Sherzod Shermatov said.
School principals, their deputies, managers, psychologists, janitors and caretakers will continue to work in schools.
Starting next week, students will be given the opportunity to watch lessons on television on three TV channels. Detailed information will be reported on the website of the Ministry of Public Education (uzedu.uz).
On the Kitob.uz website, people can download audio books and listen in addition to the curriculum. Other useful sites are eduportal.uz, edumarket.uz.
Students in Tashkent will be able to receive grades through an electronic diary. Gradually, the system will be distributed throughout the country.
The length of the holidays for schoolchildren will depend on the situation, Shermatov said.
