Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Visit Dushanbe for “Central Asia – Russia” and CIS Summits
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — At the invitation of President Emomali Rahmon of the Republic of Tajikistan, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will make an official working visit to Tajikistan on 9–10 October.
During the visit, the Uzbek President will participate in the second summit in the “Central Asia – Russia” format, as well as in a meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), both of which will be held in Dushanbe.
The agenda of the upcoming events covers a broad range of issues aimed at further expanding multilateral cooperation.
Key topics include strengthening political dialogue, promoting joint projects in trade, economics, and investment, developing cooperation in industry, agriculture, transport, energy, and infrastructure, and deepening cultural and humanitarian ties.
The heads of state will also discuss major international issues and regional security cooperation.
Following the summits, a package of joint documents and agreements is expected to be signed to reinforce practical cooperation among the countries of the region.
