Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 22 April, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at the beginning of a video conference on employment issues, again dwelt on the ongoing work in the country to combat coronavirus infection. The head of state, in particular, noted:

“The fact that so far in Uzbekistan 424 patients have recovered and transferred to rehabilitation has been giving us strength.”

Thanks again to all compatriots who adequately perceive the situation, unconditionally following the quarantine rules and widely supporting the measures taken.

I take this opportunity, on my own behalf and on behalf of the people, I once again express gratitude to our dedicated doctors, who are day and night fighting the pandemic that are showing true heroism, as well as serving along with them employees of the ministries of internal affairs, emergency situations, defense, as well as the National guard.

At a video conference held on 20 April, we determined the starting measures for a quick return to normal life, a phased easing of the quarantine regime in our country with full compliance with international and national requirements.

Currently, in regions free of the virus, strictly observing sanitary and epidemiological standards, the work of industrial enterprises, construction projects, farms and clusters is gradually being established.

I am grateful to our farmers and farmers, leaders and workers of the clusters who are working hard today in the fields and homestead lands, without losing a single minute that is expensive for them.

Of course, we will not stop the fight against the coronavirus pandemic for a moment. This is an extremely important issue related to the health and life of our population.

At the same time, we must immediately address such urgent issues as the guaranteed provision of the 34 millionth people with food and other essentials, preventing a decrease in the incomes of citizens, and supporting compatriots who need help.

For this, the leading spheres and sectors of our economy must work stably. As you can see, it is necessary to simultaneously solve a number of complex problems.

We are all happy that our people and the public enthusiastically accepted the formation of the nationwide movement “Kindness and Support” with the aim of targeted assistance to the needy segments of the population in this difficult time.

The opinions and sincere reviews expressed on television, in newspapers and on social networks by our honorable citizens, respected scholars, religious figures, representatives of culture and art, the business community and youth, indicate that this noble initiative comes from the very heart of our people.

These sincere opinions suggest that in difficult times, when people are faced with misfortune, the best human qualities, such as the willingness to support and help, attention and care, have been inherent in us since ancient times and today are manifested even more.

There is a deep meaning in the words of the great poet and thinker Alisher Navoi: "A generous man is under the canopy of paradise trees."

I want to remind all of our compatriots, disinterested entrepreneurs who sincerely support this initiative and make a worthy contribution to this good cause, the statement from the holy books: "The reward for good is only good."

To all entrepreneurs and farmers, representatives of business associations, ministries, departments and organizations, with care and respect, extending a helping hand to needy, low-income people and families, this good will be rewarded handsomely.

I emphasize: the state and society, in turn, will comprehensively support the magnanimous entrepreneurs.

They will not be burdened by anything.

For this reason, I am sure that the nationwide movement “Kindness and Support”, having demonstrated the unity of our state and people, their power, will occupy a worthy place in the pages of our new history.
