Shavkat Mirziyoyev Reviews Progress of Comprehensive Training Exercise of Ministry of Defense Troops
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, reviewed the activities at the Special Operations Forces training ground located in Tashkent region.
In recent years, on the initiative of the President, all field training centers and military units of the Ministry of Defense have been gradually modernized and brought in line with international standards. A natural continuation of this work was the creation of the new Special Operations Forces training ground, designed taking into account advanced international practices and modern trends in military training, enabling an effective system for preparing special operations units.
The training ground is fully equipped for practicing combat skills, enhancing professional readiness, and strengthening the moral and psychological resilience of personnel. The President familiarized himself with new methods for conducting combat and specialized training and observed the active phase of exercises involving various branches of the Armed Forces.
During the exercises, the combat capabilities of the troops and their coordination in joint operations were demonstrated. Special attention was paid to the use of new digital systems for troop and weapon management. Effective methods for employing unmanned aerial vehicles in various combat tasks were shown, as well as coordinated operations involving airborne forces, artillery, aviation, air defense, and ground units.
Particular emphasis was placed on assessing the ability of junior commanders to make independent decisions and the level of their leadership skills using modern digital technologies, as well as the professionalism of servicemen in operating advanced weapons and equipment in dynamic battlefield conditions.
At the conclusion of the exercises, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief highly commended the combat readiness of the units and the level of their coordination. In discussions with the command staff, the President emphasized that amid growing global security threats, further strengthening the Armed Forces’ capabilities, enhancing the professional skills of servicemen, ensuring unity between the people and the military, and fostering patriotism among the youth must remain key priorities of ongoing military reforms.
