Shavkat Mirziyoyev Reviews Home Appliance Production at Premier Enterprise in Akhangaran District
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During a working visit to the Akhangaran district, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev inspected the operations of Premier, an enterprise specializing in the production of home appliances.
In recent years, Uzbekistan’s electrical engineering sector has received comprehensive support, promoting foreign direct investment, adoption of modern technologies, deeper processing of local raw materials, and the production of competitive import-substituting products with high added value for both the domestic market and exports.
The Premier project is implemented jointly with Fajr Al Mustaqbal General Trading on a 10-hectare site, with total investments amounting to US$30 million.
Once the enterprise reaches full capacity, it is expected to create 250 new jobs and achieve exports worth US$4 million. Construction and installation works are 95% complete, and US$11.3 million of investment has already been utilized.
Products from Premier are planned for export to Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, and Afghanistan.
Currently, Uzbekistan has only two similar enterprises, and Central Asia — four. In terms of production volume, the Premier project will rank second among them.
After reaching full capacity, the enterprise is expected to produce import-substituting products valued at around US$87 million.
President Mirziyoyev reviewed the production processes, product quality, and engaged with specialists and workers. During the visit, the 2026–2027 development program for the enterprise was presented, alongside an exhibition of electrical engineering products manufactured by domestic companies.
