Shavkat Mirziyoyev Reviews Capabilities of Uzbekistan’s Defense Industry

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, visited the Chirchik Technopark to review the operations of the country’s defense industry enterprises.

Within the technopark, production is underway for armored and specialized vehicles, as well as several types of remotely operated combat modules featuring advanced functionalities and high technical specifications.

These systems are capable of engaging both stationary and moving targets, including in low-visibility conditions, and are equipped with modern automated control, stabilization, optical and acoustic surveillance systems, as well as advanced targeting technologies.

The President was shown the full production cycle, including assembly of key components, installation of electro-optical and stabilization systems, software configuration, integrity testing, weapon integration, and comprehensive performance trials. The final stage involves mounting the completed modules onto light armored vehicles and testing them under field conditions.

The combat modules are designed to be deployed across a range of platforms—from light armored vehicles and specialized cars to boats and armored personnel carriers. The project is being implemented in cooperation with both domestic and international partners, with the involvement of relevant government agencies and industrial enterprises.

The visit highlighted the growth of high-tech production, creation of new jobs, and the establishment of an indigenous industrial and technological base for Uzbekistan’s defense sector.

President Mirziyoyev emphasized the importance of strict compliance with quality and reliability standards, consistent localization of production, development of engineering competencies, and deepening industrial cooperation, issuing corresponding directives to the responsible authorities.
