Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev was awarded the International Prize for Outstanding Contribution to the Renaissance of the Turkic World, established by the Foundation for Writers, Intellectuals and Artists of the Turkic World (Türk Dünyası Yazarlar ve Sanatçılar Vakfı - TÜRKSAV. This was announced during a special TÜRKSAV press conference organized in Ankara.

The name of the laureate was announced by the TÜRKSAV jury collegial committee on the basis of monitoring and studying in 2019 the activities of prominent politicians, economists, representatives of science and art in Turkey and abroad.

The TÜRKSAV special symbol awards ceremony will be held in May 2020 in Ankara in a festive atmosphere with the participation of representatives of the parliament, government, the public, business circles and artists of Turkey.

As announced at a press conference, the decision to present this prize to the leader of Uzbekistan was unanimously decided by the jury of the Annual Award “for outstanding services and important practical contribution to significantly strengthening the political and economic ties of his country with the outside world, Turkey and the countries of Central Asia, and also for a significant revitalization of interaction in the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking states, new initiatives in this Organization, including the announcement of the city of Khiva as the “Cultural Capital of the Turkic World at 20 20th year. "

Speakers at the press conference praised the profound transformations carried out in Uzbekistan under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in all spheres of life, especially underlining the dynamic reforming activities of the country's leader, his productive work and personal qualities, which are reflected in the decisiveness and energy of his strategic course ahead of schedule the development of Uzbekistan is an important state of the Turkic world, the formation of favorable internal and external conditions for prosperity does not nly his country and people, but also throughout Central Asia.

On behalf of those present, the head of TÜRKSAV, Yahyo Engin, asked to convey to the head of Uzbekistan "an expression of deep respect, heartfelt congratulations on the modest but sincere sign of recognition of his unprecedented and historical merits to Uzbekistan, Central Asia, Turkey and the Turkic world as a whole."

The international awards “For outstanding contribution to the development of the Turkic world” and “For outstanding contribution to the revival of the Turkic world” are the initiative of the public Foundation of Writers, Intellectuals and Artists of the Turkic World (TÜRKSAV).

TÜRKSAV is a non-governmental organization established in 1996 on the initiative of a group of representatives of the Turkish intelligentsia on a voluntary basis. The world-famous contemporary writer Chingiz Aitmatov was once elected the Honorary Chairman of TÜRKSAV as one of the prominent representatives of the Turkic world. The Chairman of the Board of Directors of TÜRKSAV is the Turkish poet Yahyo Engin.

The main goal of the TÜRKSAV international award is to draw public attention to the results of the activities of outstanding personalities of the Turkic world, to express their honors and respect for their contribution to the strengthening and development of the Turkic area.

Over the years, the President of Turkey S. Demirel, the President of Azerbaijan G. Aliyev, the President of Kazakhstan N. Nazarbayev, the General Secretary of TURKSOY D. Kaseinov and other figures, including the most active parliamentarians, entrepreneurs, and artists from the countries of the Turkic world, received the prize.
