Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev today received the Premiere of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China Li Keqiang, who arrived in our country on an official visit, as well as to attend the 18th meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Member States of Shanghai organization of cooperation.
Uzbek President, warmly welcoming the guest, expressed deep satisfaction with the progressive development of the Uzbek-Chinese friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership.
In turn, Li Keqiang expressed sincere gratitude to the President of Uzbekistan for the warm hospitality and conveyed greetings and best wishes from President Xi Jinping.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that the fruitful negotiations between the leaders of the two countries created a solid foundation for expanding a constructive political dialogue and deepening multifaceted practical cooperation in all areas.
The need was emphasized for the unconditional implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level and the agreements signed, for the dynamic growth of bilateral trade, for the joint promotion of priority projects in such areas as infrastructure development, energy, industry, agriculture, transport, information and telecommunication technologies and in other areas.
Particular attention is also paid to strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties, especially in the fields of science, education, innovation and tourism.
The meeting discussed issues of enhancing cooperation within the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. In particular, the special relevance of the implementation of major projects in the field of economics, investment and transport communications, which are of interest to all member states of the organization, was noted.
An exchange of views also took place on issues of the international and regional agenda.
The Premier of the State Council of the PRC confirmed the readiness of the Chinese side to fully promote the further development and deepening of multifaceted partnerships in the interests of the two states and peoples.
