Shavkat Mirziyoyev Ratifies Investment Protection Agreement with Italy

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a decree “On the Approval of an International Agreement.”

The document approves the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the Italian Republic on the Mutual Promotion and Protection of Investments.

The agreement was signed on 29 May 2025, in Samarkand during the official visit of the Prime Minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni, to Uzbekistan.

After the agreement enters into force, the Cabinet of Ministers and heads of relevant ministries and agencies will be responsible for overseeing its implementation.
