Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A video conference on the development of entrepreneurship is being held under the chairmanship of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Opening the event, the head of state dwelled on the ongoing work to counter the pandemic and gave instructions on the celebration of Independence Day based on current realities.
It was noted, in particular, that to date, the total number of cases of coronavirus infection in the country has exceeded 37,500, more than 33,000 or 88 percent of patients have recovered. Measures are being taken to treat and return 4,000 patients to their families.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev especially noted that these results are an outstanding achievement of the medical workers of our country. There is a positive development of the situation, especially in the city of Tashkent, doctors recently invited from Russia, Germany and China have been sent to the regions, and specialists from Germany are expected to arrive. Foreign experts are mainly involved in the treatment of patients in serious condition, using the most modern methods, the President noted.
The head of state stressed that these days are a test period for our country. The next week will show how effective the measures taken are.
However, in case of disregard of the recommendations of doctors, such precautions as wearing masks, maintaining social distance, compact family events, the state will be forced to restore quarantine conditions.
It was again noted that each of us must learn to live and work in a pandemic, to steadily follow epidemiological requirements in everyday life.
In this regard, khokims, sector leaders and ministers have been instructed to analyze the situation on a daily basis and take all necessary measures to severely limit the spread of coronavirus, effectively treat patients and provide assistance to those in need.

Based on the results of consultations with doctors, it was concluded that this year the situation with the pandemic requires limiting the holding of mass gatherings and festivities in places. In this regard, the issues of organizing the celebration of this significant event, mainly in the family circle, are considered.
In the case of celebrations by labor collectives, the need for strict compliance with sanitary standards is indicated.
Recommendations are given on organizing interesting programs and performances of a new format in the media and the Internet during the holiday.
