Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 7 April, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, held a meeting with Natalya Kochanova, Chairwoman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus, who arrived in Tashkent to participate in the 150th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union.

At the beginning of the conversation, the head of the Belarusian delegation conveyed to the President of Uzbekistan warm greetings and best wishes on behalf of the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to further strengthen the multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Belarus.

They expressed satisfaction with the dynamic growth in mutual trade, the successful implementation of joint projects in industry and agriculture, the development of interregional cooperation, and the active exchanges in culture, education, and healthcare.

Special emphasis was placed on the importance of continuing an active inter-parliamentary dialogue, particularly in the areas of parliamentary oversight and support for the timely implementation of high-level agreements.
