Shavkat Mirziyoyev holds talks with Donald Trump at the White House
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 6 November, as part of his working visit to Washington, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with President of the United States Donald Trump at the White House.
Before the start of the talks, the President of Uzbekistan signed the White House Guest Book.
During the meeting in the Oval Office, the two leaders discussed prospects for further strengthening the Uzbek-American strategic partnership, expanding political dialogue, and enhancing cooperation in trade, investment, and cultural and humanitarian fields.
Special attention was given to the practical implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level during the September meetings in New York.
The sides also exchanged views on pressing issues of international and regional agendas, including the deepening of cooperation between Central Asian countries and the United States within the C5+1 format.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev warmly congratulated Donald Trump on his achievements in implementing domestic and foreign policy initiatives, noting his personal contribution to the peaceful resolution of international and regional conflicts.
President Trump, in turn, highly praised the results of President Mirziyoyev’s meetings with representatives of the U.S. government, business, and financial circles held earlier this week.
Both leaders emphasized the importance of establishing effective mechanisms to advance joint projects and further expand cooperation.
At the conclusion of the talks, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev invited President Donald Trump to pay an official visit to Uzbekistan at a convenient time.
