Shavkat Mirziyoyev Arrives in Saint Petersburg on a Working Visit

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 21 December, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Saint Petersburg on a working visit.

At Pulkovo International Airport, Shavkat Mirziyoyev was welcomed by the Governor of Saint Petersburg, Alexander Beglov, along with other officials.

As part of the visit program on 21–22 December, the President of Uzbekistan will take part, in the capacity of an observer, in the regular meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, as well as in an informal meeting of the heads of state of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

The agenda of the upcoming summits includes topical issues related to the further expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation within these multilateral frameworks. Particular attention will be given to reviewing the results of joint efforts over the current year and exchanging views on priority areas of practical cooperation in 2026.

It is expected that the participation of the President of Uzbekistan in these high-level events will contribute to deepening regional dialogue and strengthening economic and humanitarian cooperation.
