Share of small businesses in Uzbekistan’s GDP exceeds 56%

Share of small and private businesses in industry reached 34.6% (31.1% in Jan-Sep 2014), agriculture – 98.5% (98.3%), retail trade – 86.8% (86.3%), services – 54.7% (49.3%), paid services – 49.3% (47%), cargo transportation – 49.4% (47.4), passenger transportation – 87.9% (85.4%) and employment – 77.5% (77.1%).

In nine months of 2015, the small businesses used investments for 9.538 trillion soums (33.5% of total used investments in Uzbekistan), which rose by 13% year-on-year.

The construction works for 12.188 billion soums (64.6% of total construction works in Uzbekistan) were carried out by the industry, which rose by 12.5% year-on-year.
