Severe Dust Storm Hits Termez, Air Pollution Soars

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 28 March, Termez experienced a sudden deterioration in weather conditions due to a powerful dust storm.

Experts reported that the concentration of harmful particles in the air far exceeded safe limits. PM2.5 levels reached 1,200 µg/m³, 20 times above the national standard, while PM10 measured 5,614 µg/m³, nearly 19 times the permissible limit.

Authorities have advised residents to keep windows and doors closed, limit outdoor activities, and wear protective masks if going outside is necessary.
