Several streets in Tashkent to be closed on 9 September

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 9 September, several streets in Tashkent will be closed for movement of vehicles in connection with organization of Independence Marathon.

According to Tashkent police press service, the Youth Union will organize Independence Marathon dedicated to the 27th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s Independence.

The marathon starts from Glinka Street in Yakkasaray region and will run along the streets of Nukus, Abdulla Kadyri, Abay, Almazar, Islam Karimov. The marathon participant will finish at the stadium “Pakhtakor”.

In connection with the marathon in order to ensure the safety of its participants on 9 September, the following streets will be temporarily closed from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm for the traffic of vehicles:

 

Glinka street – from Shota Rustaveli street to Nukus street

Nukus street – from Abulla Kahhar street to Abdulla Kadyri street

Abdulla Kadyri street – from Nukus to Abai street

Abai street – from Abdulla Kadyri street to Almazar street

Almazar street – from Abai street to Islam Karimov street

Islam Karimov street – from Almazar street to Sharaf Rashidov street
