Several petroglyphs found in Tashkent region
Econews.uz internet edition reported that petroglyphs were found at the height of 1,100 meters above sea level. In the valley of the river, several hundred petroglyphs were found, including images of extinct species such as deer. In fact, these rocks are ancient red book. According to figures, the scientists received a lot of information on life of the first Homo sapiens.
Feride Ametova, a member of expedition, said that based on found petroglyphs it can be said that hunting played key role in life of the ancient people. She said that there were images of people and animals. The place with petroglyphs is unique and the scientists believe that prehistoric settlement was located here.
The sundial was also found at the hills. The sundial shows correct time at least for 3,000 years.
