Seventh plenary session of Senate to be held on 12 October

Council of Senate today adopted a resolution on convocation of the seventh plenary session of Senate of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan in Tashkent on 12 October.

Senators will consider an issue “On amnesty in connection with the 24th anniversary of the Constitution of Uzbekistan”.

According to press service of Senate, Interim President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyayev introduced the issue to the agenda of the upper house of the parliament.

Senate will also consider laws “On social services for elder people, people with disabilities and other social vulnerable categories of population”, “On introduction of changes to law “On professional unions, rights and guarantees of their activities”, and “On introduction of changes and amendments to the legislative acts of Uzbekistan”.

Senate will also discuss a law “On ratification of ILO Convention No 87 on freedom of association and protection of the right to organise convention”.
