Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In accordance with the Presidential Decree "On measures to mitigate the coronavirus pandemic, radically improve the system of sanitary and epidemiological welfare and public health protection", the Service of Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health, its regional departments and district (city) departments.

In this regard, the Agency for Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare under the Ministry of Health and the State Inspectorate for Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision under the Cabinet of Ministers and their territorial divisions are being abolished.

A daily surcharge of 6 percent of the monthly official salary will be paid to medical, sanitary-epidemiological and other employees of the Sanitary-Epidemiological Service for the period of their involvement in measures to counter the spread of coronavirus infection.

From 1 January  2021, employees of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Service, who have an academic degree of Candidate of Science or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or another scientific degree of foreign countries equivalent to them, in addition to the current monthly wages, a monthly increase of 30 percent of the official salary is established the scientific degree of Doctor of Science (DSc), - 60 percent of the official salary from the State budget.

According to the results of each month, the Sanitary and Epidemiological Service will publish information for the public on the funds allocated to the system from the State budget, the directions of their spending, and the results of efficiency, and will be posted on its official website.

The decree also creates an off-budget Special Fund for the Sanitary and Epidemiological Service.
