Sergio Gore and Christopher Landau Arrive in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — U.S. Special Envoy for South and Central Asia Sergio Gore and Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau arrived in Uzbekistan on an official visit.

According to the U.S. Embassy in Tashkent, the American delegation familiarized themselves with the country’s rich cultural and historical heritage, visiting several landmarks in the capital.

During the trip, Sergio Gore and Christopher Landau, together with Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov, visited Samarkand to tour the historic monuments of the ancient city.

During their visit, the parties discussed the further development of Uzbek-American relations and emphasized that Uzbekistan’s strong historical and cultural traditions continue to play a key role in strengthening strategic partnership between the two countries.
