Serbian President Vučić Highlights Cooperation Potential with Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During the second day of his official visit to Uzbekistan, President of the Republic of Serbia Alexander Vučić emphasized the high potential for bilateral cooperation and expressed gratitude to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev for his hospitality.
“I have seen many interesting things in Tashkent, and my goal is to create a favorable business environment for our business communities and establish as many contacts as possible, because I see enormous potential in cooperation with Uzbekistan,” Vučić stated.
He highlighted Uzbekistan’s remarkable achievements in economic development and noted the interest of Serbian companies in collaboration across various sectors, including agriculture, chemical industry, pharmaceuticals, textiles, and ICT education. The Serbian president also paid special attention to initiatives supporting youth and their enthusiasm.
During his visit, Vučić toured the Center of Islamic Civilization, the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, the Techno-Park industrial complex, and the “Made in Uzbekistan” exhibition, and participated in the Serbian-Uzbek Business Forum.
The president reaffirmed Serbia’s readiness to develop a strategic partnership with Uzbekistan based on mutual respect and understanding, noting that the planned visit of President Mirziyoyev will be an important step in strengthening bilateral ties.
