Serbian Delegation Visits IT Park Uzbekistan to Explore Digital Infrastructure and Startup Ecosystem

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation led by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Serbia, Adrijana Mesarović, visited IT Park Uzbekistan to learn about the operations of the country’s leading technology ecosystem.

During the visit, the delegation attended a detailed presentation on IT Park’s activities. The hosts highlighted the established ecosystem, ongoing reforms in the information technology sector, conditions for resident companies, tax and infrastructure incentives, initiatives to expand IT export services, support for startup projects, and directions for international cooperation.

The delegation paid special attention to the UzSOC Cybersecurity Center, where real-time monitoring platforms, operational response systems, and methods for analyzing and neutralizing cyber threats aimed at protecting government institutions and critical infrastructure were demonstrated.

Guests also visited the UZINFOCOM Center, where they explored the capabilities for developing and maintaining government information systems, e-government infrastructure, data center operations, and digital platform management.

During an official meeting between the Minister of Digital Technologies, Sherzod Shermatov, and Adrijana Mesarović, discussions focused on digital transformation, the integration of information and communication technologies in governance and the economy, development of data processing centers, and the creation of artificial intelligence and language models.

The Serbian side shared its experience in expanding supercomputing capacities and data center infrastructure.

Both parties expressed readiness to exchange expertise in digital government services, increase ICT investments, and implement innovative solutions and software products. Particular attention was given to developing the startup ecosystem, expanding the activities of innovation centers, and organizing joint business forums.
