Separate grants at universities will be allocated for women

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Decree approved the State Program for the implementation of the Action Strategy for the five priority areas of development of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2017–2021 in the “Year of the Development of Science, Education and the Digital Economy”.

The State Program defines a number of tasks in the priority areas of the Action Strategy.

In particular, at least 30 percent of the total admission quotas for state grants for master's programs and advanced training courses of the Academy of Public Administration will be allocated to women annually.

Means of “feedback” will also be introduced for dialogue with the people, the opinion of the general public will be studied when organizing the implementation of Government decisions.

In order to establish close interaction between the state and society, to further strengthen public control, a Public Chamber will be created.

In addition, responsibility for environmental offenses, as well as for cruelty to animals, will be strengthened.

A unified and open statistical database on administrative offenses and crimes will be created.

In touring and concert activities, an electronic ticket system will be introduced.

An Information Program and a special portal will be created to provide entrepreneurs with reliable information on land plots.

The number of legislative and technical documents affecting business and the competitive environment will be reduced to 25 percent.

Separate grants for women at the universities will be allocated.

With the consistent implementation of the affordable housing program, affordable housing will be built in 12,256 villages and cities.

The Day of Friendship of Peoples and National Unity will be introduced.

The breastplate “Friendship of Peoples” will be established.
