Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Today, on 25 November 2019, a meeting of the Senate Kengash of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan was held.

At the meeting, which was chaired by the Chairman of the Senate Tanzil Narbaev, a decision was made to convene the twenty-fourth plenary meeting of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan on 30 November in Tashkent.

First, the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the State Budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2020”, which was first adopted in the history of the country, will be discussed at a plenary session.

The laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, “On Volunteering”, “On Trade Unions” will also be considered.

On the agenda of the plenary meeting, a report of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the implementation of the State program “Year of Active Investment and Social Development” in the third quarter of 2019 will be heard.

In addition, senators will consider other laws related to the introduction of amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with the improvement of the procedure for the liquidation of business entities, further strengthening the guarantees of the rights of the child.

Senate members will also discuss the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On ratification of the Protocol to the Convention on legal assistance and legal relations in civil, family and criminal matters of 22 January 1993 (Moscow, on 28 March 1997)."

Also, the issue of changing the boundaries of the city of Samarkand and the Samarkand region of the Samarkand region and other issues will be considered.

In addition, senators will discuss issues of sending parliamentary inquiries to the Cabinet of Ministers related to the state of law enforcement by the state customs authorities, the construction of affordable housing, gas and electricity.

In order to coordinate the work of the committees and apparatus of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis in the preparation and conduct of the twenty-fourth plenary meeting, a working group has been formed.
