Tashkent. Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Speaking at the third plenary meeting of the upper house, Senate Chairperson Tanzila Narbaeva noted that, thanks to reforms implemented over the past three years, the situation related to the threat of coronavirus is being controlled under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
“The reforms will be consistently continued. Particular attention will be paid to the sanitary-epidemiological system,” the Senate Chairperson emphasized.
The Minister of Health Alisher Shodmonov expressed gratitude to all the medical workers of the country.
Further, members of the Senate considered the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Amendments and Additions to Some Legislative Acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Connection with the Improvement of Legislation to Protect Personal Rights and Freedoms of Citizens”.
It was noted that controlling the transmission of messages and data through modern communication tools is a requirement of the time. In this context, this Law is of particular importance, as it is aimed at early warning of crime and ensuring the rule of law. The law consists of 5 articles, envisaging amendments and additions to 2 laws and 1 code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
So, in connection with the introduction of new types of operational-search measures, the Law “On guarantees of advocacy and social protection of advocates” is being amended to provide for control of negotiations, transmission of messages and data carried out by an advocate from telecommunication devices with the approval of the prosecutor. The law also defines other norms aimed at preventing crime.
