Senators discuss activities of Accounts Chamber in 2013

It was underlined that activities of the Accounts Chamber was focused on implementation of the tasks, outlined by the President of Uzbekistan at the session of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan on 18 January 2013, dedicated to results of social-economic development of the country in 2012 and important priorities for 2013.

In 2013, the Accounts Chamber conducted control measures at 252 objects on 43 directions in various ministries and departments of Uzbekistan.

In line with the budget legislation, the chamber organized a systematic control over formation and execution of the State Budget at the level of the republic and local levels, effective and targeted use of budget resources. Besides, the chamber carried out control on full formation, targeted and rational use of off-budget resources, consolidated in the State Budget of Uzbekistan.

In the result of carried out works in 2013, about 70 billion soums of damage of the state or business entities were compensated, the press service of the Senate said.

During the discussions, Senators shared their proposals and recommendations directed at strengthening and raising efficiency of activities of the Accounts Chamber and adopting necessary measures on decreasing financial violations and their prevention.
