Senators approve the Law "On the List of categories of persons - citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan subject to permanent residence in the city of Tashkent and Tashkent region"

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Senators at the fourth plenary meeting considered the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Amendments and Additions to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the List of Categories of Individuals-Citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan who are Permanently Registered in the City of Tashkent and Tashkent region”.

This Law envisages innovations aimed at reforming the system. In particular, the words “permanent residence” are replaced by the words “registration at the place of permanent residence”. In addition, citizens are given the opportunity to constantly register their relatives of the first and second degree, not only at the address at which they are constantly registered, but also on the living space that is owned by them. In addition, the condition that the couple must live together for one year after marriage is canceled, and the rule that if they divorce within one year, they lose permanent residence.

Another aspect. The rule is excluded, according to which citizens elected, appointed, approved by the chambers of the Oliy Majlis, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan by the Cabinet of Ministers or in agreement with the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, highly qualified specialists invited to work in government bodies, state and economic management bodies, in other state organizations of republican significance, specialists narrow specialists, as well as members of their families after constant registration in line with the set order discharged from the place of residence in connection with their transfer to another job or dismissal.

A new paragraph is introduced on the permanent registration of specialists (except for technical workers, maintenance and production personnel) who have been working continuously for five years in government bodies, government bodies and other government organizations, as well as their family members based on a certificate from the head relevant authority or organization.

The adoption of this Law promotes the liberalization of procedures related to the permanent residence of citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the capital. Most importantly, granting spouses the right to permanent registration at the place of residence on the day of marriage helps to ensure family strength.

The law would be approved by senators.

The approved Law will enter into force after its signing by the President and publication in the prescribed manner.
