Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Members of the upper house discussed the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On introducing amendments and addenda to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On state duty”.

The law abolishes the separate rate of state duty for the execution of contracts for the sale of real estate in new buildings in the city of Tashkent and Tashkent region by citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan, permanently residing in the Republic of Uzbekistan and having permanent residence in other regions of the republic.

In addition, clarifying amendments and addenda are introduced regarding the collection of the state duty for approval of agreements and execution of cases related to inheritance. The sizes of some state fees levied for the performance of notarial actions are being optimized.

At the same time, in accordance with the Law “On Licensing Certain Types of Activities”, a corresponding amendment is made to the Law to levy a state fee for issuing a license and extending its validity.

In accordance with this, the Law “On State Fees” is supplemented by the rates of state fees levied on the state registration of law firms, amendments and additions to their constituent documents, provisions of legal advice and registration of legal advice.

The adoption of the Law will serve to optimize the rates of state duties and specify the features of the collection of state duties. The rates of state duty for issuing a license giving the right to practice law and private notarial activity, state registration of law firms, changes and additions made to their constituent documents, state registration of legal advice provisions, accounting for legal advice are also set.
