Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 3 February 2020, a meeting of the Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbaeva with a delegation of the International Labor Organization led by the director of the Bureau for Eastern Europe and Central Asia Olga Kulaeva took place.

During the meeting, the work carried out in the field of ensuring employment in Uzbekistan, the organization of decent jobs and working conditions, the prevention of forced labor in all areas, as well as the tasks outlined in this direction were discussed.

The delegation of the International Labor Organization praised the work carried out in Uzbekistan on the development of the economy, the modernization of agriculture, the provision of employment, the creation of decent working conditions, the elimination of all types of forced labor. Practical efforts in this area are also recognized by international organizations and foreign diplomatic missions operating in our country.

The parties agreed on further development of cooperation in this direction, in particular, increasing the level of employment of women and youth, development of draft National Strategy on ensuring employment of the population and National Strategy on social protection, "road maps" for their implementation.

The issues of preparation for the international round table on the theme “Decent Work in Support of Reforms”, which will be held on February 5 this year with the participation of representatives of the wide international community and authoritative organizations, were also considered.
