Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During the eleventh plenary session, the Senate of Uzbekistan approved the Law “On the Ratification of the Agreement between the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Kyrgyz Republic, and the Republic of Tajikistan on the Point of Junction of the State Borders of the Three States” (signed in Khujand on 31 March 2025).

This international agreement defines and legally establishes the junction point of the state borders of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan, creating a clear legal framework for addressing related territorial matters. The ratification of the Agreement marks a significant milestone in the consistent efforts to complete the delimitation and demarcation of borders among the Central Asian neighbors.

Senators emphasized that the signing of this historic document became possible thanks to the initiatives and leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, aimed at strengthening good-neighborly relations and ensuring stability and security in the region.

The agreement reinforces tripartite commitments and contributes to deepening trust, mutual understanding, and friendship among the brotherly peoples, while laying the groundwork for enhanced regional cooperation.

According to members of the Senate, the ratification of this agreement carries great importance for further ensuring peace and sustainable development in Central Asia, reaffirming Uzbekistan’s commitment to the principles of openness, dialogue, and partnership with its regional partners.
