Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 4 March 2020, a meeting was held between the Chairman of the Senate Committee of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan on international relations, foreign economic relations, foreign investment and tourism Ravshanbek Alimov with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Uzbekistan Darkhan Satybaldy.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the state and prospects of mutually beneficial cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, including through inter-parliamentary cooperation.

High positive dynamics was noted in the development and strengthening of the Uzbek-Kazakh strategic partnership, which is based on close and trusting relations, as well as agreements between the Heads of two fraternal states.

The upcoming events with the participation of delegations of the upper houses of the parliaments of the two countries were also discussed.
