Senate considers information on activities of state bodies in 2013

It was noted that in 2013 the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan carried out works to ensure and strengthen legality of activities of the state bodies, law enforcement and controlling bodies, as well as improving law-making process, improve legal culture and knowledge in the society.

Within the monitoring of law-making and law enforcement practice of separate state bodies, law enforcement and controlling bodies in 2013, the ministry carried out legal expertise of over normative-legal acts, provided by ministries, state committees and departments. Over 403 acts of ministries and departments were registered.

During the monitoring, the attention was paid to violation of legislation. The main department on control over adherence to legislation under Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan conducted 16 monitoring inspections in 18 state structures, in the result of which concrete measures on ensuring adherence to legislation were issued.

The justice bodies issued 977 responses directed at eliminating violations, their reasons and conditions. In cooperation with the state bodies, the justice bodies participated in development of over 30 draft legal documents directed at eliminating gaps and contradictions in legislations, revealed in departmental documents, etc.

During the discussion, the Senators shared their recommendations and proposals on strengthening control over adherence to legislation by the state bodies.
